João Trevisan trails an original alphabet of memory, materiality and impermanence, formatting his work in various supports and techniques. From sculptures with industrial materials to the accurate study of his paintings, the artist executes the process of overlapping in meticulous manner, In his paintings, the black paint, reapplied to obtain the desired texture, redimensions the notions of the depth of the color glaze, while the white paint over the wood highlights the character of the colors.

The artist has participated in group and individual exhibitions since 2014. In 2021, he presented the exhibition “Corpo e alma”, curated by Simon Watson, at the Museum of Sacred Art in São Paulo, and participated in the exhibition “O Sertão”, at the Slag Gallery in New York. In October, the artist participated in the Forever is Now project, an international art exhibition in Cairo, Egypt.

Among the public collections, his works can be found in the MAR museums MAR – Museu de Arte do Rio, Rio de Janeiro, RJ; MUN – Museu Nacional da República de Brasília – Brasília, DF; MARP – Museu de Arte de Ribeirão Preto – Ribeirão Preto, SP.
