“The consistency of an artist’s importance comes from the improvement of their phases and research. For an artist, as for a gallery, it is essential to maintain a line of work without compromises. The history of the Gabinete de Arte is marked by striking visual choices and the effort to put the trends it represents in perspective. The working relationship that I have with the artists of the Gabinete comes from a long-standing affinity, which begins in my enchantment with the work they do and develops in the friendship and complicity conquered over a long-lasting partnership, also maintaining commercial ties. The exhibition “Transição/From now on…” will mark the farewell to this space, in which we have had memorable shows since 1992. In this moment of transition to a new gallery, I decided to show the evolution of my work through my artists, who will be represented, each of them, with older work and a more recent one. “Transição/From now on…” reaffirms that the trust I had in my artists in the past is sustained – they have all become renowned and recognized nationally and internationally.”
