Galeria Raquel Arnaud is participating in SP-Arte 2026, Latin America’s largest art fair, which takes place from April 8 to 12 at the Bienal Pavilion in Ibirapuera Park, São Paulo. For this edition, the gallery presents a collection of works that highlights its historic contribution to the dissemination of constructive, kinetic, and contemporary art in Brazil and abroad, bringing together different generations of artists who explore the relationships between space, form, movement, and perception.
Among the highlights of the booth are key figures in modern and contemporary art, such as Sergio Camargo, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Iole de Freitas, and Waltercio Caldas—artists who have profoundly influenced the development of abstraction and spatial exploration in Latin American art. Their works engage with the constructive tradition while expanding its formal and conceptual possibilities.
The exhibition project also brings together artists whose work expands and updates this field of inquiry. Participating in this edition are Almandrade, Antonio Manuel, Arthur Luiz Piza, Carla Chaim, Carlos Nunes, Carlos Zilio, Célia Euvaldo, Ding Musa, Elizabeth Jobim, Felipe Pantone, Frida Baranek, Geórgia Kyriakakis, Julio Villani, Jesús Rafael Soto, Maria-Carmen Perlingeiro, Marina Weffort, Gisela Colón, Shirley Paes Leme, Sérvulo Esmeraldo, Tuneu, and Wolfram Ullrich.
The presence of these artists creates a journey that spans different periods of artistic production, from the consolidation of geometric abstraction in the 20th century to contemporary experiments that explore color, rhythm, materiality, and movement. By bringing together historical masters and contemporary artists, the Raquel Arnaud Gallery offers an expanded interpretation of the constructive tradition, highlighting its vitality and its ability to reinvent itself over time.
In this context, participation in SP-Arte reinforces the gallery’s role as a mediator between the history of modern art and contemporary investigations. The booth fosters a dialogue between different media—such as painting, sculpture, and kinetic works—that share an interest in structure, perception, and the construction of space.
